These two pictures are seemingly the same but vastly different. One has been mowed and the other has been mowed and tilled. We mow to keep the voles away and to chop up all the cover crop so that it's easier for the land to digest. And of course, we till to incorporate the cover crop into the ground. Phew, my point being this land is being prepared for planting.
